Unknown reporter writes
From all the search systems I tested, I liked recoll the most. But what I’m really missing is the possibility to search gzipped files. (What many other systems do.) I anyway didn’t find any way to do it …

Recoll is supposed to work with gzipped or bzipped versions of all the file types it supports. As far as I know, this works.
Bugs are always a possibility, but we’d need more detail here. I’d appreciate it if you could elaborate, either here or by email to jfd at recoll.org
